What a year it has been! Health issues, moving, retirement, and a new porch. If you have followed me these past years you know how much I love porches. This porch is not as big or as fancy as others I have had, but I enjoy sitting in the stillness of the day most every day, rain or shine which brings a sense of calm to my soul; all I think of is what the prophet wrote: Isaiah 26:4, "Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock." (NLT)
I am so glad I stand on the Rock, because if I did not have that firm foundation I would not be in the calmness that I have.
This sense of stillness reminds me of the ocean and the peace it brings when the waves are calm. The gentleness of the salt air and the sand between our toes. Oh how creation brings forth joy!
As I begin this new year of improved health, living in a farming community, and with a new puppy, God has brought so much into my life that all I can do is say THANK YOU!
